My Journey in the Film Industry

Namaste, I am Dinesh Kunwar. I am a model, actor, producer, director, and the owner of Diwash Films Production Pvt. Ltd. My journey in the film industry began in 2013.

At the beginning, my dream was to become an actor and model. However, to understand the film industry closely and gain experience, I got my first opportunity to work on a pop song as a Chief Assistant Director. Through this first experience, I learned about cameras, artists, shooting, direction, and the overall production process.

After that, my second journey began with modeling. I worked as a model in songs such as "Chiya Garam." Soon after, I got the opportunity to work in Shiva Pariyar's "Sapana Ko Sansar" and several other music videos.

Gradually, my work and experience continued to grow. I also got the opportunity to act in television serials such as "Hijo Gharma Kura Chaliyo," which was broadcast on Dish Home. After that, I worked as a model and actor in rap songs such as "Bideshko Pida," various Teej songs, pop songs, and many other music videos.

As I continued working, I did not limit myself to acting and modeling. I gradually started moving toward production and direction as well. I worked as a producer and Chief Director on "Ujeli," a documentary based on child marriage. After that, I continued working in different music videos as a model, director, and production designer.

During this journey, I got the opportunity to act in the Nepali movie "Rudra," starring Nikhil Upreti. After the movie was shot in Chitwan, director Ramji Lamichhane gave me an opportunity to play a role in the film. I also got opportunities to act in movies such as "Hirasat" and "Mero Aafno."

Later, I got the opportunity to play the lead role as a hero in the web series "Ja Khalli Balli." At the same time, I continued working in music videos and got opportunities to act and model in songs such as "Nadekhau Sapana," "Aadhi Khola Maya," "Yespaliko Teej," and many others.

My journey in direction also continued moving forward. I got the opportunity to direct the full Punjabi song "Killer Tere Looks," which we took to Goa, India, for its shooting. I handled the direction of the entire music video. Later, I also worked as a director and model in various songs by local singers and artists from Chitwan.

After working on many small and large music videos, television serials, and films, I gradually developed the confidence, courage, and determination to make a bigger film.

That journey led me to create my own movie, "Sanskar." In this movie, I took responsibility as the producer, director, and actor myself. I also worked with many other talented artists, and the movie got opportunities to be screened in different cinema halls.

Then my journey took an even bigger step with "Gyanashastra."

In "Gyanashastra," I took the main responsibility as the director, while also acting in the movie. I got the opportunity to work with many talented and established artists, including Rabindra Jha, Smarika Dhakal, Sameer Khan, Naresh Paudyal, Surbir Pandit (Dari Budha), Narendra Thapa, Sushil Pokharel, and many other talented artists.

Even while directing, I never stopped pursuing acting. I continued receiving opportunities to act in other people's movies as well. During this journey, I got another opportunity to act in the movie "Kumude Hindyo Hero Bann." The movie was shot in Dang, and I played the role of a film director within the film. The shooting has already been completed, and the movie is currently in the post-production stage.

For me, filmmaking is not just a profession. It is my dream, my struggle, and my continuous journey of learning.

My journey started in 2013 as a Chief Assistant Director, and today I have come this far as an actor, producer, director, and the owner of Diwash Films Production Pvt. Ltd.

There is still a lot more to do, and there are still many stories left to tell. With this belief, my journey in the film industry continues to move forward.
